Welcoming your baby to celebrating your toddler!
You might have heard of baby's first year sessions but I've always included just one more session in our Baby Grows plan. Sometimes, my new mommas use this session to celebrate their motherhood in a maternity session but many of my families use this session for a 2 year old toddler session instead and I just love that!
Those of you who have kiddos know there's a whole world of difference between a newborn and a 2 year old. That first couple years bring on so so much and with as tired and overwhelmed you often are as new parents our sessions at 0/4/8/12/24 months are designed to capture every milestone and every little feature change so you can remember them forever.
And then, while we offer bounce back sessions for our Baby Plan clients to stay in our exclusive baby club (complete with club perks like unique collection selection and exclusive pricing), we know annual sessions can sneak up on us and be a lot to tackle every single year. So, curious what my childhood session schedule recommendations are? Well, great I'll tell you.... below!
Newborn
We hope we're created the whole first 2 years but if not, this milestone as we welcome your brand new human being to the planet is key. We suggest calling well before due-date to get on the calendar and typically schedule these sessions in baby's first 10 days of life!
5 Year Old
Excuse me, we have a kindergartener! It's 'big kid' time and the perfect time to show off your not-so-little one's personality. Are the the dance-party kid? Into dinos or tractors? Shy or full volume? It's time to let all that shine through on camera.
10 Year Old
Whoa, double digits. Our dino-roars have quieted, dance parties have a bit less dress twirling and your big kid is stepping toward teenager-dom FAST. They're not there yet though so it's time to get a bit of that attitude and their new style captured for all to remember.
15 Year Old
Next year.... next year they step out in a big way independently with a drivers license and things change a LOT. And then, senior year is right around the corner. So now, most of all we suggest not only an individual session but a family session too.
